The Brief

Retail Properties of America, Inc (RPAI) purchased the Capital Centre shopping center in Largo, MD and is planning a redevelopment and re-envisioning of the Center known as Carillon. The new development, when completed, will enhance the experience for all types of uses – residential, office, medical, retail, restaurants, and entertainment. The first phase of Carillon will include 225,800 square feet of commercial space, including medical offices, and 350 apartments. When all phases are complete, there will be 3 million square feet of commercial and residential space on the site.

Mayson-Dixon has been conducting the government and community outreach efforts on behalf of the Carillon development project for RPAI. Mayson-Dixon has been fostering relationships, organizing meetings, roundtable discussions and presentations with Maryland state representatives, Prince George’s County Council Members, Maryland Congressional Delegation, and community association members. These actions have played a large role in garnering the support of a skeptical community for this development project and even led to the name of the project changing from Indigo to Carillon.

But wait, there's more!
