American Traffic Solution (ATS)
ATS, along with several national competitors responded to an RFP for road safety camera systems for the City of Baltimore, a program that had been attempted and halted in previous years by the city.
Mayson Dixon worked with ATS to bring together a coalition of locally owned Minority and Women Business Enterprises to engage the community and government officials to address previous concerns.
For nearly 2 years the group worked to provide a comprehensive plan of operation for the RFP and in the end won the contract to operate speed camera enforcement systems that will increase Public safety (particularly around schools) and revenue for the City of Baltimore.
Alice Ferguson Foundation, Pinot on the Potomac
In order to improve turnout and income for one its premier events in 2015, The Alice Ferguson Foundation turned to Mayson-Dixon. By rebranding their ‘Summer Garden Party’ as ‘Pinot on the Potomac’, and by conducting aggressive corporate and individual outreach, Mayson Dixon played an integral role in dramatically increasing revenues, attendance, and overall event quality.
Mayson-Dixon helped the Foundation to partner with local Maryland Wineries, implemented a marketing strategy that attracted large crowds, and conducted public affairs outreach to ensure the presence of elected officials and business leaders. The newfound revenue was reinvested back into the work of the Foundation.
Pride of Baltimore, 40th Anniversary Sailabration
Pride of Baltimore, Inc. consulted with Mayson-Dixon in 2017 in preparation for their 40th anniversary and the organization’s premiere annual event, Sailabration. Mayson-Dixon created a marketing strategy that incorporated other “prides” of Baltimore including BGE, Brewer’s Art, Phillip’s Seafood, and many more. Using this strategy, Mayson-Dixon successfully targeted and brought on corporate and local business sponsors. Indeed, much of the food, beverage, silent auction items, and more were donated by local restaurants, businesses, and corporations that call Baltimore home.
With more than 400 people in attendance, 2017’s Sailabration was the Pride of Baltimore’s most successful event in its history, raising thousands of dollars to support the Pride and it’s programs, and developed new supporters and partners for the nonprofit to leverage.
Independent Expenditure in support of Brian Frosh for Attorney General
In 2014, TruBlu Politics produced a direct mail campaign supporting Brian Frosh for Attorney General. The program attacked his leading opponent over ethical concerns, lack of attendance and poor voting record. The program also highlighted Frosh’s effectiveness and major support from key endorsers.
Despite starting out the campaign trailing his opponent by double digits, our program helped Frosh win the Democratic Primary by almost 20 points.
Frank Kratovil for Congress
In 2008, we were hired as the direct mail consultant for Frank Kratovil. Our objective was to help elect Frank Kratovil to Congress in a very Republican district. To do so we highlighted Frank’s moderate credentials while showing how Andy Harris was out of the mainstream on key issues that mattered to the voters of the 1st District.
As a result of our work, we helped elect Frank Kratovil in a district that President Obama lost by 19 points. While Rep. Kratovil was unable to overcome the Republican tide in 2010, we once again produced quality hard hitting mail for his campaign.
Senator Barbara Mikulski
In 2010, TruBlu Politics was hired as the direct mail consultant for Senator Barbara Mikulski. Our objective for the mail was to remind people of how effective Senator Mikulski has been in fighting for their interests in the US Senate. For her campaign, we produced a five-piece mail program to focus on her efforts to create good jobs and improve health care for Maryland families.
Our mail helped Senator Mikulski win re-election with over 62 percent of the vote, helping her to become the longest serving woman Senator in US history.
